The Canyon County Driver's License Office will be closed on Wednesday, April 29 to allow employees to attend a State-mandated recertification training. 


County residents can dump up to one ton of residential clean-up waste at Pickles Butte Landfill for no charge on Saturday, April 25.  


In-person early voting is available at the Canyon County Elections Office beginning Tuesday, Feb. 17 for the March 10 Election.


Canyon County Weed and Gopher Control Superintendent Jim Martell has been selected as the 2014 Superintendent of the Year by the Idaho Weed Control Superintendents Association. 


According to AARP research, just under half of the more than 55,000 Idahoans eligible for a reduction in their property taxes actually apply for this discount. And the Idaho State Tax Commission and AARP Idaho want to make more people aware of the benefit that’s available to low-income seniors and others who qualify.


The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has awarded a contract for the Idaho Vehicle Inspection Program in Canyon County and the city of Kuna to Applus Technologies, Inc.


From time to time, the County’s DMV and Driver License Unit is forced to temporarily close down due to technical issues with the Idaho Department of Transportation’s computer system.  This most recently occurred on Friday, Nov. 14 at approximately 3:30 p.m., forcing the DMV to close for the remainder of the day.  Even though this issue is completely out of our control and caused by ITD’s computer system, we want to apologize for any future inconveniences this may cause.


Steve Jett, Director of the Southwest Idaho Juvenile Detention Center, has received the Hammergren/Dunlap Distinguished Service Award for Exemplary and Meritorious Service to Juvenile Justice and Detention Services from the National Partnership for Juvenile Services.


Thomson Reuters announced today that it has selected Canyon County Assessor Gene Kuehn for its annual Office Holder of the Year award.  


The Canyon County Treasurer's Office has joined forces with the County Assessor's Office to provide a single taxpayer portal that will allow taxpayers to sign up for electronic statements and receive their property tax assessments and property tax bills electronically.  


The Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has been highlighted by the Office of the Vice President for its ongoing efforts and dedication to combating domestic violence, and in particular, violence against women.


Canyon County's Fiscal Year 2015 Budget is $79,387,799.
